How to convert 3MF to STL
- Drop your
.3mffile above, or click to choose it. It stays on your device. - Check the plates. Each plate shows its preview, size and object count; plates larger than a 256 × 256 mm bed are marked.
- Read the list of what STL cannot keep, such as colors, filament assignments and painted surfaces.
- Select the plates you want and download. One plate gives one
.stl; several plates come as a zip with one STL each.
Why one STL per plate?
Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer projects often hold several plates. Many converters merge everything into one STL that no longer fits your bed. Here every plate keeps its own layout: objects stay where they were placed relative to each other, and each plate is centered and set on the bed.
What gets left out
STL stores only the shape. Colors, filament choices, painted supports and seams, textures, modifiers and support blockers or enforcers are not part of the STL. Negative parts are not cut out of the shape. The converter lists everything that applies to your file before you download.
FAQ
What is the difference between 3MF and STL?
3MF is a project format: it can store several objects, plates, colors, materials and print settings in one zip package. STL is a plain list of triangles with no units, colors or settings, which is why almost every slicer and print service accepts it.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read and converted inside your browser. Its contents and name are never sent to our server.
Does it work with PrusaSlicer 3MF files?
Files saved by Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer are fully supported. Other 3MF files usually work too: when there is no plate information, all printable objects are exported together as Plate 1.
